ABC TV Series - FIRST DAY
Our UMS Montrose store was involved in an ABC TV series “FIRST DAY” which has been broadcast here in Australia as well as in London and America. The series follows the life of transgender girl Hannah, preparing for her first day at high school. Our Montrose store was featured as the “uniform shop” (6mins 50sec) where Hannah was fitted for her new school uniform.
UMS chose not to receive any money for the usage of our location, but instead asked that ABC kindly donate the money to The Royal Children’s Hospital for research into Gender Dysphoria Service. FIRST DAY is one of only 3 programs from around the world to be nominated for the MIPCOM Diversify TV’s Excellence Award for Kids’ Programming (all genres).
